Hi, I’m Holly.
I live in South East London with my partner and daughter. I’m originally from Birmingham and regularly visit family in the West Midlands so we may be able to shoot there too! I have a degree in Fine Art, it was there that I fell in love with film photography. I learnt to process and print film in the darkroom which allowed my creativity to shine through. I love film because of the beautiful imperfections, light leaks and character it brings. Film photos are nostalgic, they remind me of the old pictures of my family on the walls and filling the photo albums that I love to flick through.
Having experienced pregnancy and having a child myself, I know how important it is to document these milestones. It all goes by so fast. And all of a sudden you will be looking back at the hundreds of photos you have taken your precious baby and realise you have none of yourself in that special time of your life! Think how amazing it will be when they are older and you can show them photos of you growing them in your belly. I also understand that when you’re photographing children, things don’t always go to plan. They don’t always cooperate but we can take our time and go with the flow so there’s no drama!
